Victorian Carved Oak Console/Hall Table with Green Man Motif.
The table is made of carved oak with a shaped back and gallery centred by a Green Man mask. The Green Man is a motif found in art and architecture, often depicting a face surrounded by or made from leaves.
The oak table is from the Victorian era, dating to the late 19th century, around the 1860s to 1880s.
It has a rectangular top, a carved apron, and heavily carved forelegs. The carving on the legs and apron includes foliate and floral patterns. Tables of this style were often used as hall tables or side tables.
