Antique 1860's Gold Plated Bronze Arabian Stallion of Copenhagen (Duke of Wellington's War Horse) in Original Gilt and Rosewood Framed Shadowbox.
This exquisite antique bronze plaque, dating back to the 1860s, showcases Copenhagen, the Duke of Wellington's war horse, which he most famously rode at the Battle of Waterloo.  Copenhagen was a mixed Thoroughbred and Arabian parentage.  His dam being sired by the Derby winner John Bull and his sire Meteor finishing second in the Derby. The bronze sculpture is beautifully framed in its original gilt and rosewood frame, adding to its historical charm.
