Originating from Northern China, this cabinet would have traditionally sat on a heated kang platform. It features a warm, rich elm wood finish, a durable top surface, and traditional round brass lock plates and drop handles. The back panel features a hand-painted traditional 寿 (shòu) symbol, representing longevity and good fortune.
This is a genuine antique with a deep, natural patina that only decades of use can create, providing a unique alternative to modern mass-produced furniture.
