A superb antique Chinese Octagonal (8-Sided) Pedestal Bowl, dating from the Late Qing Dynasty (c. 19th Century).
This beautiful bowl is raised and features vibrant, hand-painted polychrome decoration. The interior and exterior body are covered in a rich turquoise/teal. The exterior is decorated with stylized clouds and auspicious fruits, framed by a striking yellow scalloped rim border.
The base of the foot is finished with a striped decorative band. This is a very desirable and decorative piece of Chinese export porcelain.
8 inches wide, 2.25 inches high.
The overall condition is good although, commensurate with age there are some marks, nicks etc. Please see pictures for a more detailed condition report.
