Crafted from incredibly thick, heavy slabs of solid English oak, this versatile piece features a traditional lift-top storage compartment sitting above two functional base drawers, offering a striking blend of historic charm and practical utility.
Design & Features
Material: Substantial, heavy-density solid English oak displaying a rich, deep golden-brown grain with an authentic, well-developed historic patina.
Hybrid Construction: Features a top-opening twin-panelled lid for large blanket storage, seamlessly integrated with two independent drawers at the base for smaller items.
Period Detailing: Designed with a classic panelled front façade and clean, straight stiles that form the feet.
Hardware: Outfitted with traditional wooden turned drawer knobs and original brass-escutcheon keyholes on both the main body and drawers.
Versatility: Due to its immense weight and solid, flat top, this piece is incredibly stable and ideal for use as a statement coffee table, a bedroom blanket chest, or a prominent hallway storage bench.

Frame is exceptionally robust, heavy, and structurally sound with no wobble.
Drawers slide smoothly, and the top lid hinges function well. Shows minor historical surface wear, marks, and natural timber movement consistent with a 200+ year old piece.
