Antique Sterling Silver Collared Cut Glass Oil or Vinegar Pourer (c1890's-1910).

This charming antique cut glass pourer combines functionality with classic design. The delicate, etched glass bottle features an elegant handle and a stylish spout, perfect for serving oils, vinegar, or dressings. The piece is topped with a sterling silver collar,  clearly marked "Sterling Silver" along with the maker's initials, O.W. Such marking would likely indicate the item to be from the US.

Measurements: 16cm high and 7cm wide at the base.

Unlike the UK, which has a strict, government-regulated hallmarking system with multiple marks (lion for sterling, city mark, date letter, etc.), the United States has a different system. In the U.S., the word "sterling" or "sterling silver" is often used as the primary or even sole mark to indicate the .925 silver standard. American pieces from the late 19th and early 20th centuries often bear this word, along with a maker's mark (usually their initials or a company logo). They do not use the British system of marks.
