Antique Early Victorian Mahogany and Leather Library Chair
A good quality, adult-sized Early Victorian library armchair dating to the mid-19th century (circa 1840s-1850s). This chair blends the substantial form of the William IV period with typical early Victorian decorative carving.
Early Victorian, circa 1840s-1850s. Solid mahogany frame, upholstered in rich, brown leather. Features elegant scrolled arms with padded armrests and a carved top rail with subtle scroll decoration. Raised on classic turned front legs and splayed back legs, terminating with functional brass and porcelain castors.
The leather shows a beautiful patina consistent with age, it is worn and crackled in place so please do check images for more detail and consideration. The frame is solid and sturdy.
