Ditmar Urbach was a prominent Czech pottery manufacturer known for its Art Deco and Mid Century designs. The company, formed in 1919 by the merger of the Brothers Urbach and the factory of Rudolf Ditmar, produced a wide range of ceramics, including vases, jugs, and decorative items like animal figurines. Many items are sought after for their unique designs and hand-painted finishes, with some popular examples being the Art Deco 'Alienware' pieces such as the vases you see here. These Art Deco (1919 - 1939) vases feature a distinctive crackle glaze, (hence the Alienware) which has a marbled effect of gold on an ivory background. These collectors vases are in excellent condition.
