This is a rare and authentic antique marine or bulkhead clock by the original Cooke of Hull company. The dial marking, simply "Cooke Hull" (without "B. & Sons"), accurately dates the clock to before 1867, making it a genuine piece of maritime history.
This working clock features a heavy brass casing with a hinged bezel, original winding key, a classic white face with bold black Roman numerals, and a secondary sub-dial for seconds. This is a gorgeous and highly collectible item, perfect for collectors of nautical instruments or historic timepieces.
Diameter: 7 inches
Depth: 3 inches
The clock displays significant age and historical character. The brass casing shows heavy, original patina and tarnishing. The painted dial is distressed, with paint flaking, marks, and wear, which contributes heavily to its authentic antique appearance. The original winding key is included.
