Victorian Walnut Parlour Two Seater Settee on Castors, Marquetry Inlay

A lovely upholstered antique walnut settee,  from the late Victorian or early Edwardian period (circa 1880-1900). These sofas are often referred to as "settees" or "parlour settees" and are characterized by their carved wooden frames and button-tufted upholstery.

The legs feature castors, which were common for furniture of this era. The specific carvings on the backrest of this settee, with the scrolling foliate and ornate details, are a common feature of furniture from this time. Fawn coloured upholstery in very good condition.
